I am in the process of putting my motor together but I set the lower intake onto the block there is a 3/8 gap from bottom of intake to engine block . Has anyone seen this or what's wrong thannks

did you have your heads milled down or anything?

Either the heads or the intake have been milled. Is the intake used ?
Mikeymustang had the same problem with his trickflow intake way back when. Just put a LARGE bead of "the right stuff" (the black RTV stuff at autozone), and set the intake straight down on it ensuring you don't move the bead around and you should be good.
