    Saw 2 GT-R's recently....
First was a black one that i have since found out was likely GMKillr's brother.... real pretty black one....
and on the other side fo the fence, saw a flat gray (likely a wrap) one in downtown pittsburgh.... the flat grey looked like poo, and the exhaut on it sounded about as bad as it looked...

Yeah that's my little brother, its a 2013 GTR....its really fast for a stock car! It went 10.79 @ 126 100% bone stock.

He has since added quite a few parts and the car is much quicker so were gonna get it back out to PRP or QCR soon to see what she does!

I saw a black GTR on 19 in the south hills on Friday.

I can appreciate the performance but the appearance just doesn't do it for me.

Then again I was in my 79 F250 so that should tell you something. LOL

    I've been eye-balling this one... http://www.huffmansauto.com/19462/index.htm

There were older pics on their website when it was a Salvage Title. It was wrecked in the back [it said NO frame damage???]. They fixed it, did all the paperwork and it's R title now. 45K miles, $21,000 OBO... I stopped and looked at it last weekend. The paint is a little rough behind the wheels (maybe, it's like this on all vettes? I don't know), the wheels are curbed a little and the driver's seat has a tear in it. You can see it in one of the pics.

    ... on cl, too: http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/ctd/3747623724.html

If I bought this thing, I'd put you on speed dial Rob. I could never take proper care of a black automobile. :O

When I first saw this I thought I might be interested because of the cheaper price of a wrecked car but IMO the price is a little steep for something without a good title

my thoughts exactly. however, I've heard these guys are pretty negotiable. and, you can't find a decent 01-04 z06 for much less than $25k. ??? i'm not rolling those dice.

I sold my clean title '01 Z06 for 13K. 116K miles, many new parts, and I had a hard time getting that. They are all over the place under 20K. 21K for an r-title '02Z is ****ing insane. Worth 10K, maybe. Go on the corvetteforum if you are looking for one, C5Zs are a dime a dozen. If you can accept some mileage, getting the more desireable '02-'04s under 15K is commonplace. Some guys around here selling them are just on crack.

This. When I was looking for my Cobra 2 yrs ago I was seeing C5Z's for around 16-20 in great shape. Almost entertained buying one before I found my car.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

I can 3rd Mark's comments... that's an absurd price, and i wouldn't pay that for a C5Z if it had a clean title...

C5's are still great looking cars, but nothing like the C6's (and now C7's).... However, at this point, buying one would probably be a good investment - they seem to bottom out around 10K (non Z's), so you can probably pick one up now and sell it in a year for the same price

i've also never liked the FRC look - however they are a hot commodity on CorvetteForum... i can't figure it out
