So..I am looking at a 99 Expedition XLT tom. It has the triton 5.4 in it with 150k. The guy says that one of the cats is plugged. Should i believe him or should i stay clear? I have heard that the 5.4's have had some head gasket issues. I don't really wanna get into all of that tho. He said that cop's were replaced and that was not the problem. It runs great on the flat, but is a little sluggish up hill unless u tromp on it. I do know that cats go bad. I need an Expedition for the size and 3rd row or else I wouldnt even look at it. Does anyone have any info, or things that i can check for when I go to look at it? I'm drivin a long way to see it and want as much info that I can get. You guys have always been helpful before. I like the idea of the 5.4 instead of the 4.6 also.....Any ideas guy?? Thanks.....
