    Don't use Youngstown Drive Shaft

I had them build me a single piece chrome moly shaft to mate up with the new 9", integrated slip joint in the trans since I don't have a slip yolk. Well I had a bad vibration start shortly after.

We come to find out today that the driveshaft twisted after less than 35 miles, take it back to him, he says to my driveline guy "They know what they did, its their fault" and now refuses to stand behind it.

After calling 3 other local drive shaft companies we find that the standard tubing is .095" DOM, he used .083" non seamless... so right off the bad he was off, then we believe he may have even welded it off as he told us he made the shaft at 3 a.m. because he wasn't able to sleep that night.

Long story short, he stuck me with a useless drive shaft that I paid $450 for and now have to go buy yet another drive shaft and he wont refund or pay anything back to me.

Can you take them to a small claims court? I'd at least try. That's still 450 bucks, screw that.

Or you could go bust up 450 bucks worth of stuff at their shop

    Better Business Bureau claim?

I don't know man. I would take it to a higher level if he doesn't replace it.

Well sudden turn of events, he must have realized we were going to take the DS apart and take it to another shop, sent a check, kept the DS no questions asked, he gave me the money back

He also told us he never wants to see our faces in his shop again... something was fishy!
