    Cross Country Trip

Hey guys, I'm taking the stang on a cross country trip in a few weeks and I thought I'd try to get some suggestions on things to do and see. I have my route pretty much planned out, just looking for some possible suggestions for the areas that I'm going to be in.

Here are the main areas that I'm going to be in; Denver, Grand Canyon, Vegas, LA, Rt. 1 to San Fran, Sequioia National Park, Yosemite, Yellowstone then heading back home and passing through Mt. Rushmore, Milwaukee, Chicago, and Cleveland. Keep in mind that I'm only spending a day or two in each location. If you know of any must see's, let me know. Thanks

I would definitely have to drive down at least part of Pacific Coast Highway and Mullholland Highway if I had the chance.

PCH 1 is for sure a nice drive! Sounds like you will be on it though. Going alone or with somebody?

Definitely, I plan on driving as much of it as I can. I'll pretty much be on there for 8-10 hours. Going from Santa Monica to San Francisco. I spent a few hours on google maps street view already just checking it out, lol. I'm gonna be so pissed if it rains that day.

You got plenty of vacation, I'm sure you'll be able to do it someday. Maybe in a couple years we can get a few guys together and do our own version of the power tour

We stayed in Scottsdale Arizona for a few days visiting some of my parents friends, Superstitious Mountain were rare Gold was found then mined was a pretty neat thing we checked out and then we went on a 4 er 5 day road trip. We went to Jerome an old copper mining town on the sides of cliffs, Sedona Red Rocks, passed thru Flagstaff, went to the Grand Canyon, hit up the Hoover Dam and then finally last Las Vegas. The scenery is ssssoooooo beautiful and it was just aWesome too. Talk about about a culture shock goin from place to place it was just incredible! Have fun and be safe!!

What the hell ray! You have way too much vacation haha. Denver is definitly fun, tell ben I said hello, and he needs to come back to see MY cobra sometime lol. Oh and there is absolutely nothing from here till you get to denver. A lot of fields and those huge windmills. LA should be cool, was there when I was young. Damnit you need to do this every few years! Oh well, have fun and keep the cobra on the road!

Thanks for the suggestions guys, keep them coming. Should definitely be a fun trip. I'm not sure if I'm ready for all the driving, but at least I'll be in the cobra so that should make it interesting

Hahaha, I wish I had too much vacation. I'm just now starting to get more than two weeks(11 days, lol) but I've been carrying over an extra week of vacation for like 4 years in hopes of doing something like this. So this year I'm finally doing it It's gonna suck only having 6 days for the rest of the year though.

I plan on stopping in to see Ben. Haven't seen him in a while. I'm hoping we can go check out Pikes Peak while I'm there. I'm sure the mid west is going to be boring as hell, but that's why I'm going through there first. I figure it's best to get that out of the way while I'm just getting started driving and excited to get to my other destinations. I'm heading back a little further north where there's hopefully a little more to see, haha.

That's one of the main reasons I'm going. I've only been out west once and that was for business to our plant in Ogden, UT. I wanna see some more of this great country of ours

The furthest West I've been is Memphis, TN... pretty sad I know. I plan to change that soon enough. I'm finally in the stage of my life where I can actually afford to go on trips and vacations now lol
