Angry Screw Woltz n Wind Ford!

I set up my inspection since they owed me a free one for today and figured I would have them do a oil change for me too since I have to order the oil from them anyway(5w50). So when I drop it off I make sure they have the proper oil for it and they say yes we know what were suppose to use. So after 3 hours waiting for it to get done (also emissions exempt) I pay for it and start to head home. As I hit 79 I see the sticker for the next oil change and notice it says 5w20, I reach over grab the receipt and see it says 5w20 6 quarts! So I pull off to the side and call them, they say we have to check with the person who did the oil change but he's now on lunch. So I start heading back and they call me and tell me he did use 5w20 and they needed to flush it and redo it. So I get back and after another 1.5 hours they call me up and try and charge me for the new oil change! I'm like WTF, I already paid for a oil change and its your mistake! So they say ok no charge and try and get me to say how good of a job they did on some survey! Screw this place I will never go near there again and will tell everyone to stay the hell away from there.

Now I kept all there receipts of there screw up and hopefully there isn't any issues since I only drove for about 15 -20 miles. Next time I'll just special order the oil and do it myself.

Dealerships are good for buying new cars...and that's about it. Always was and will be that way. Sorry to hear about the bad case of luck w/ them.

At least they admitted their mistake and eventually ended up taking care of it.

Already filled it out, I just can't grasp how they figured the 5w20 would be ok knowing it was the wrong oil in the car! It says it on there pc even, they just didn't have it in stock. It was the worst excuse I got along with it was a new employee thats still in training.

Hey - it is a very good thing that you looked at the sticker. Be thankful that at least YOU were paying attention. Pretty hard to f-up an oil change, but that's how it is these days...

The gene pool is getting more shallow every day. No need to put on the hip waders anymore. Sad but true. It's a shame, but you have to get used to it.

Pretty ridiculous that they tried to charge you again. Common sense is a precious commodity these days...

I wouldn't go back there for anything other than a warranty claim or a recall - I completely agree with you.

It happens, its over and nothing happened. I buy all my cars from there. Thats it though, buy them. Not have them serviced. Now if it were a diesel, that would be a different story. A good friend of mine basically runs the diesel department. Lead tech down there.

Woltz n Wind is a VERY shady dealership. I had a very bad dealing with them a few years ago as well.

It does sound like a simple, but stupid, mistake. But, as others have had issues and since you no longer trust them, maybe you shouldn't go back. Is there another dealer you can use for warranty work>

Thanks to W&W "FINE" service department Ford was so gracious to give me an ESP 60/75K miles $50.00 deductible at no charge. This is all because they are incompetent and cannot fix a simple climate control issue. I have bought vehicles there but would not go to either for service work. Not only could they not resolve my issue in five service visits, they lied to Ford and claimed they had replaced parts and did not do anything. The dealer that actually fixed my climate control sent Ford the parts removed from my truck and they were installed and the time my truck was built new, not by W&W as they claimed. Locally, find Marc K. for Ford service work. He is the "ONLY" mechanic I trust for anything.

I'm close to the one in Washington. It's a sister dealership to W&W but it's called Washington Ford.

Sounds like a mistake that could happen anywhere. I change my own oil knowing it's done right, or at least done the way I want.

    Talking Wrong oil

I'm sure you never make any mistakes in what you do either..............
Not right to bash the whole place and call them all a bunch of idiots.
The oil change person is usually some young kid they get on the cheap, and did not realize what the car called for. His writer should have made sure the proper oil was installed. Be thankful he put oil in it. 5w20 ain't gonna hurt it one bit.
Yea ,all dealers "Suck" don't they, untill you really need something repaired correctly that no one else can figure out or you have a question or free info your looking for............................................... ................................

Sorry I have to disagree with you 100%! I've worked intimately with hundreds of dealerships in my 18 years in the automotive industry and W&W is one of the best ran dealerships I have ever seen! True the service department isn't what it used to be as they lost a lot of good technicians and advisors but you don't win the Ford President's award 10/11 times being a mediocre dealership.

Actually we are pretty lucky here in Pittsburgh, if you don't like W&W you have another President's award winning dealership up north .... Shults Ford!
