    Non mustang part diagrams

    Guys,

I have a question to ask. Does anyone have access or know where I can find specific part diagrams?

The reason I ask is because I'm trying to locate a PIA fuel filter on a friends 2005 Hyundai Accent.

After some research, I think I have narrowed it down to being inside the whole pump assembly inside the tank but I have already had that out of the tank once and it didn't seem to have it in there.

I am going to take it out again tomorrow and take it apart to see if the filter is in there.

I was just wondering if anyone can give me an exploded view of that pump assembly. I know some of you guys work in dealers and I didn't know if you had any more resources then I have.

Thanks for anyone that can give me some options.

There is no fuel filter. Only a sock on the pump.

Then why did advance sell me a fuel filter for an '05 accent?

It looks like a smaller version of my inline canister filter that I have on my Ranger.

Ah sorry I was thinking 2006, thats when the body style changed. It should be on top of the fuel tank.

    Thanks for some ideas.

You access the fuel stuff under the rear seat through an access panel. According to service manuals, when you left the access panel under the rear seat, there will be access to the fuel pump assembly inside the tank and the filter should be outside the tank.

But when I opened the access panel that wasn't the case. There wasn't a filter on the outside of the tank.

After some research, I read that the manuals where wrong and the filter is actually in the pump assembly in the tank.

I'm not sure how much truth is behind that. That is why I'm trying to find a fuel pump assembly diagram.

Depends on the build date, hyundai is weird and changes shit mid year all the time

    Yea, so I heard.

With fuel filter and pump design, I read that Build dates May of '03 - end of '05 are all the same.

After looking at the filter again, it definitely looks like an inline filter and it also looks like it has a ground tab on it for a wire or something to be grounded to.

This is the most frustrating shit ever. It shouldn't be this difficult to change a fuel filter. I've traced the lines from the motor all the way back to the tank. No sign of a filter.

The only thing I can't see inside is the evap system under the car and next to the tank but I doubt the filter is in that.
