    Weighed the Capri

My Capri is over at Mikes to get a few spots touched up. I was over there tonight to change the starter so we put it on 4 corner scales to get the weight ...

Car comes in at 2829. This should be with about 1/2 a tank of fuel, and no door bars in the car.

BTW ... don't let me in you garage ... Going to Mikes was sort of like like being home for me, between my Capri and Pinto I seem to have half his shop space hogged up.

Would be nice, but I'm operating on a cast iron budget ;) Way too many issues with the aluminum heads anyway.

No, that is as it sits. Car is only at 1/2 tank gas where I uslally race full, and the door bars are out right now. Add the fuel, door bars, and my fat ass and it's likely just under 3150 race weight.

I'm mostly happy with the corner weights. I need to see it with me in the seat to decide if the LR needs a little weight jacked over there.

Short of a glass hatch or light seats, there isnt a lot to take out and it still be perfectly street friendly. An aluminum head would get it there, but as I said, it's not in the budget.

    Yes ...to watch ;)

I've been thinking about going to a light seat but would need to sell mine first. not convinced I want to live with poly seats or kirkeys either.
