In case anyone cares LOL I took the goat to PRP on thursday and even though it was a total poochscrew as always there, I had a good time. Managed a 12.6 @ 108 on street tires. I was pretty impressed.

Shit thats a damn fast cavi, lol jk nice car!
Wow, didn't know you where there (although I left 1/2 way through the oil clean up). Them GTO's sort of just blend in ;)
nice 60' for street tires...low 1.9's or high 1.8's?

Runs good for a bloated grand prix LOL
Wish I would have left halfway between the clean up. It was three hours and ten minutes between my second and third runs because of their fast clean up crew
It was a 1.916
The dragster that oiled down was going over 130mph in the 1/8th. That takes awhile to safely slow down and pull over. And it was synthetic oil, which is an absolute b itch to clean up after. It may have taken awhile, but that's why, and it's so that everyone else in that lane would be safe going down it.
Perhaps then they should have a night for slick cars only and a different night for street cars, bikes. Then the crowds would be better than the typical overpacked conditions trying to run so many in one night. If a car oils down at 130 and it'll take three hours to clean up, they could just run one lane. Slick cars frequently run solo passes anyway.
I asked them once a few years ago why they did not do that and was told that it would be impossible due to staffing. I took it to mean that they were too lazy to work 2 nights a week. I think it would pull in new business if people knew they would get more than 2 runs in for the money. But its PRP so it will never change.

what mods do you have? mine had only a few bolt ons and went 12.5@108. glad to see another one ran as well as mine with a few bolt ons.
Full exhaust with cats, CAI, Hurst shifter. I was really hoping to shoot for a 12.5 with the cooler air on my last past, but the track was cold and slick from all the down time. I've got an LS7 clutch on order because the stock clutch slipped pretty good on the 12.6 run. So with that and some sticky tires I'll be ready to hit it again.
I saw the same thing too and commented about it that night to those around. The car legally should have had a 6pt roll bar at that point and the guy didn't even wear a helmet. There was a vette there too with a passenger in the car...
The 3hr long oil down reminded me that I was still at the same old PRP and why I rarely go anymore. I used to practically live at that track too and never missed a TNT night...
I almost ran my Infiniti but I was sure glad I didn't when I saw how long the clean up took.

LMFAO I dont know if Im reading post from 10 yr old boys or grown men with half a brain. The only thing that doesnt change is your typical TNT racer that has no clue on how to run a drag strip . PRP is a business and always will be. One bad night and everyone wants to run their mouth and everyone still had MORE then 2 runs. The last time I checked they are avg. more then 5 runs a TNT.
Now for the idea to have a street car TNT and a slick car TNT thats brilliant. Lets say you have 100 cars, 50 street and 50 slick. It cost $2500 to open and run a TNT. If you you combine them in one night and charge $25 a car that is $2500 and the track breaks even. Now lets try the great idea of having two separate nights. Now you just doubled the cost to open to $5000 for both nights and brought in $1250 each night. So thats a $2500 loss, brilliant... And NO... you are not going to get any more cars by doing a separate night. PRP is trying to have a bike only TNT and the first night they had a whooping 30 bikes. Guess what... Big loss!
As for the single lane runs, one word "safety". And on the other, hand people would have *itched they only ran one lane.
The comment that PRP is lazy because they dont want to open 2 nights a week. I hate to even reply to these stupid comments because they are exactly that "stupid". This week PRP is open 6 days in a row. Thursday - Tuesday so I would say you are wrong.
