There was snow on the ground in a lot of places that I went up in the mountains, but we actually got snowed on in three different places. The first pic with snow on my car was actually in southern California believe it or not. It was about an hour and a half east of LA. I camped up in the mountains at about 7500 feet. Thankfully the road coming down off the mountain didn't have any snow on it cause it was a blast! Like 15 miles of windy mountain roads

The first place I had to drive through snow was when we were leaving Yosemite. It wasn't snowy at all where we camped, but on the way out we had to climb up a mountain and there was a decent amount of snow up there unfortunately. Thankfully someone else had gone through already and at least made some tracks for me or else it would have been even more hairy.

The last place was in Yellowstone. Everything is very spread out in that park. I was trying to drive over to the lake and it started to like rain/snow mix where we were so I knew I better start heading back because there was a fairly high ridge that we crossed on the way there and sure enough it was coming down HARD on top of that ridge. Thankfully like in Yosemite, it was only at the top of the mountain so once I started coming down it turned back to rain.

It was definitely a little scary in the snow because at that point my front tires were pretty bald. Just had to take it slow and just keep moving. Back in the day I had a fox body dd so it wasn't the first time I've done it, but it's been a long time since I haven't had a 4wd vehicle. That being said, it's been quite a while since I wasn't happy to see snow, haha

You have some truley breathtaking pictures there Ray. Very nice. I liked the mountains with the reflection on the lake that was a nice shot. The "little tree" you parked infront of was cool too. HAHAH

Fantastic pics! Love the first one, of the car in front of the snowy hill and the sun above, and the car by the redwood.
