Small bore 8.2 362", 4 link Ranger, yadda yadda

Seeing as how everyone loves bench racing, here goes:

Doing a 3.550 x 4.030 362" 8.2 deck all motor job. TW-R, Super Vic, carb deal. .74x" solid roller, shaft rocker blah blah blah. Motor is alllllllllmost done, need a vac pump. Faceplated TKO & a fancy (for this honky) clutch. 7800-8200rpm oughta make some noise.

Decided with the new motor to update the chassis to a 4 link, coil overs, etc. Thankfully got the ex the **** out of my house & I'm trying like hell to get this done before winter. Trying to pop that 9.99, we'll see.

    Thanks Shaun.

Rob, I had some pics of its previous configuration but I have no idea where they're at (pre-digital camera!). Long story short it is a 95, has sat for 3 years, and I needed to patch/replace a panel here & there. No paint on it yet. Compression is 12.3, I'm using E85 on this one.

No smack on this one, I'm not going to chance it.

I should have the 4 link finished this weekend. Need to get the 9" ends put on the rear & order axles.

Looks like a nice build. What's the details on the heads & intake.

I have some old pictures & video of a friends blower ranger that ran 9's It was a sweet little truck and looked very clean with a good stance.

Heads are the 206cc as cast TW-R versions from TEA, CNC chamber, bowl blend & Ferrea stainless valves. Super Vic is 100% out of the box. I do have a nice Pro Systems HP950 on top :)

What did your buddy's truck 60ft and what was his suspension setup? That's my biggest problem.

That super vic is going to need port matched to your heads as there openings are rather small. I sent mine to Duane Busch and he did an excellent job for a very reasonable price!

What kinda raceweight are you looking for?

What kind of fuel do you plan on running?

Yep, I noticed that during mockup, and way back 2 years ago when discussing this build, I was told for this combo, for what it is, to just run the intake OOTB. Right or wrong, yay/nay, I'm going to leave it for now.

Weight I'm expecting at 2900#, it went on quite a large diet during all of this, but I am adding in some more frame bracing, etc.

    Fuel is E85

Mikeys truck ran in the 9's and I want to say it had 1.4 60 foot times. It had a ladder bar rear suspension. If you send me your email in a pm I can send some videos.

Lightning air pumps will work for a while as an vacuum pump. From what i've read the vanes in the pump are degraded by oil and they slowly lose suction. I believe GZ uses this same type of pump and installs a tougher oil resistant vane material. gmkiller is right about star pumps being the choice of the serious race crowd.

Thanks gm. I'm on a time crunch to have wheels back on this thing by the 4th to get it out of the garage. We have an annual party & the way it's been raining, we'll probably need cover!

If you have a jig to weld the tubes up too, I'm in.

Made a little progress tonight, shock mounts on.
