According to the PRP website, it's 1/8th mile. Are they gonna make us leave if we keep the hammer down the full length?

    True...

...but I think it should be 1/4 mile runz since its a real a dragstrip w/ proper safety barriers. The only reason I heard they ran 1/8 mile at the FLD's is to keep the mph down since it was an airstrip. Also I think it'd be nice to somehow still have just the win or lose light at the end and still get a timeslip at the booth after too ta see what #er's ur runnin!

they still charge you like a regular race day

Brent, you know when you can get a timeslip. :D

This day is just set up to be fun, grudge run your buddies, etc... like the PRP site says, street racing on the drag strip, another reason why all the cars/trucks/bikes must be street legal.

"Hey guys we won't have to spend money on prep or print out slips but we can still charge full price!"

The FLD's charge an entry fee, don't they?
Do they prep or give you timeslips?

I'm seriously asking; I've never been to one.

Except they have the facility to run a full 1/4 mile.... if this were like the FLD's but a 1/4 mile then I would think about going. Until then its just PRP trying to make money by doing less work.

Of course they will try to earn more money, what business wouldn't. I think it will be fun! And we won't be waiting for all the drag cars to test through, prolly get a lot of runs also so yeah it's worth it to me.

    X2

PRP is trying to put on a fun event dedicated to street legal only vehicles. I think it's smart to keep it to the 1/8th mile, because of (hopefully) the new faces that will be in the lanes, and who have never been down the track before. Safer, and less abuse on vehicles that may not be able to handle a 1/4 flog.
