Shifting prob

So i bought this fox bodyoff of a guy who bought it from another guy whosupposedly put a rebuilt aod in it it was originally a 5 speed,so i did a tune up an ran it up the drive way but it wasnt shiftn out of 1st so then i take it out on the road,if i go balls to the wall it will shift but not until about 60 mph an red line but just ur norm it doesnt shift the way i think it shouldi tried man shiftn and it will shift if im gettn on it but not right,any help woulb be greatly appriciated,i have no idea if any thing extra was added 2 the tranny (stall ,shift kit ?????)is there a vacum line on the tranny ????????????
