    Buy 2011 or keep 2007?

I'm stuck on a decision whether to buy a new 2011 GT or keep my 2007 GT. On one hand I only pay $250/Month for the '07 due to a nice down payment, but with the extra money from the sale of the '07 I could get a 2011 for roughly $365/month. The new car payment would be for 6 years but I only have 3 years left on the '07. That damn new 5.0 is calling me.... AHHHH. Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Mike

What is a fair and reasonable price for a 2007 all Black Mustang GT Coupe with Black and Gray leather interior and 22,000 miles. All original. 5 speed manual with 3.55 rear gears. No work needed except a good detailing.

    I agree...

Call me crazy, but I don't mind the rear end of the 2011 mustang and prefer the front end over my '07. By the way, what comes in the "Drag Pack"???

I haven't heard about the drag pack - but there are 4 ( I think ) gear ratios available on the 2011's. The really nice option though is the Brembo brake upgrade. Also, the interiors are really nice - you can get a stripe thru the seats that looks great. The glass roof is really neat - but pricey ( $2k? ).
My mind changes almost daily as to which I want - a 2007-8 GT500 or a 2011 GT with the Brembo brake package. Realistically, either can be had for about the same money. I love the stock power of the GT500, as well as the fact that it will probably hold its value better than the 2011 GT.

But 412 normally aspirated horses sure would be a hoot for an 8-month per year daily driver.... :D

That's good to hear - because when I went to the Ford website to "build" one with the Brembo package, optional gears, leather, and a few other little options, it came to over $37k. Sounds like the dealers might be dealing a little. I'm supposed to get a call once a 6-speed coupe with the Brembo option shows up on the lot so I can take it for a drive... If it is Kona blue or silver I might be in real trouble...:D

i didnt want the leather but did go with the 19 inch wheels and that was just a retail price didnt even star to talk yet til i drive one next week . he showed me three in the area and only one was over 30k. he has been waitng for delivery for three weeks now but some one said factory had a brake issue so they are slow coming.as far as building one online he said what it does when you add certain things is bump you into another group when at dealer you just get what you want because when i did it with the brembos it said had to have the premium gt but you dont

That's good to know about the pricing and option packages. The more I think of it the more I realize this car ( 2011 GT or 2007-8 GT500 ) will be a keeper - so I have to find a way to fit the budget around the car the way I want it - and not the other way around.

Make sure to post once you've taken your test drive - even though you already know you're going to love it!!
