    Thinking on selling my car....again

yes I know I just got it finished, I keep seeing 03 cobras and they are calling me....that and the new 2011. not sure which I'd finally settle on...

I interviewed for a job the other day in my field im pretty sure its a done deal, Im seriously considering putting my car on ebay/autotrader and using the money from it to put towards another one. Im going to ask alot for it (because I have ALOT in it) and see if anyone bites

Im trying to put long tubes on my car right now and its really pissing me off, the problem is the stuff isnt made exactly for the car and im having fitment issues.....so the solution to the problem, buy a car they were made for! Im sure with some more time and effort I could get them on there but im nearly burnt out with projects.

You only live once!! Get a cobra. I wish I would of. By the time I spend the money to get my fox right I could of bought one. I am debating on stopping now and saving my cash to pay bills off and get one next year. But someone's supercharger on here is calling my name!!

i mean the car is really nice and unique...... its not ever day you see a modular fox. the engine already has the components to support a good bit of horsepower...it would need some fuel system upgrades and a tremec and id be good to go with a supercharger. and plus i own it, no payments. honestly this is the most reliable the car as ever been, its super drivable and I can enjoy it.

I just dont know what to do

I bought my cobra last year.....Love it dude...only thing that might be better is a Fox with an 03/04 setup.....

I really want to put a terminator setup in a notch....that is 10.00 territory with minimal work (pulley gears, CAI, etc)

Thats what my game plan is with this car, I was thinking a kenne bell for it......

The long tube thing just pissed me off, the sector shaft is the real issue. i dont know how im going to make it clear yet. the last thing i want to do it start beating in the primarys, that kind of defeats the purpose.

I think most of us get the bug to move on to other cars, nothin wrong with that. The question you have to answer is, will you kick yourself afterwards, LOL.

For me, car payments for a hobby car are a no-no. Yeah, it's great to have a new car and all, but those payments make me feel like I'm a slave to the car rather than it being fun.
If money is no object, that's different. For most of us though, money is always a deal maker or deal breaker.

haha all these voices sound like the argument inside my head.

I probably will regret it, if i got a 5.0l ...the car would have to leave.....if i get a 03-04 it wouldnt have to but it would be a nice chunk towards it

Do that! Keep your car and swing the terminator! That'd be completely bad ass if you can pull it off.

Number 7 (maybe 8?) around the steering shaft?
Only way to do it is to pound the primary and run an aftermarket steering shaft. Do you have one?
No, its not pretty or ideal, but my brother just ran a 10.13 this weekend with a pinched primary, no issues yet. The 'correct' way to do it is cut out that primary section and loop it around the shaft.

Also, I think you plan is the best one---determine a price you'd be happy to get, see if anyone is willing to pay it and if not keep it.
Good luck, I'm hoping to see it this year.
I also was going to PM you for a few measurements on the heat extractor hood, I've been meaning to run one and I hope it will fit.

Thanks for advice J, what brand did he use??? I think its number 7. Im going to try that I think, its hitting on the passenger side lower firewall so my k-member cant get aligned. so tomorrow im taking out the pass side header....getting the K frame back in and seeing how much i need on the sector shaft...then im going after the passenger side firewall and push it back a little ways. im not giving up quite yet. Ive already battled a broken stud to use my stage 8 bolts. there were 3 more studs i just left for fear of doing the same to them. I dont get it they are brand new and it feels like theyve been in there for years.

you have a very unique car and just put a lot of time/labor/money/love into it. 03 cobras are very very fun and muscular cars -for the money they can't be beat. Find somebody that NEEDS to sell their car to free up some money and go from there.

Yes, I know that for the money you can build a fox etc to beat an 03 cobra. They're two different cars. One actually has curb appeal to people that aren't die hard mustang fans or gear heads.

He used BBK 1 5/8" headers for a '99-04 Cobra.
He did have to pinch #7 good, but I don't remember anything on the firewall. A BFH always helps :)
If you don't have a steering shaft yet, my other brother just bought a newer Flaming River shaft that is new design, actually a few bucks cheaper and is designed for more header clearance.

And thanks for the offer on the hood. When I get the car here in the next few months I'll probably take you up on that offer.
