    I think it was perfect j. It was right around 6300 going through the traps. To say it hooked is a gross understatement. Haha. I have never felt anything like that before in my life. Haha

    Being on a sticky tire is a whole different experience. A LOT going on there. ESPECIALLY running a radial and a bias ply tire combo. Plus, dealing with the interference issue. It all came full circle though to the tune of 1.50 seconds! Big congrats! Can't believe those 1989 vintage uppers and lowers are still bolted to that 8.8" along with those horizontal shock like thingies:D

    nah lower control arms are just for looks lol .i really doubt you will get much better than a 1.5 with out some other changes

    Thats what I have been saying Rob. I have raced at (not just been to) many tracks from Norwalk OH to Bristol TN to US13 Delaware and all the basic locals and PRP doesn't have anymore problems then the rest of them. PRP is under new management this year who made many changes which the racers have noticed. Quaker city's management have screwed the racers so many times that their locals refuse to race there and have been on the brink of closing the track the last 5 years. They barely have enough racers to run a program. Anyway I dont want to say anymore because I never want to see any dragstrip close.

    Awesome runs Rob! Those 60ft's are very strong. You seem to have the handle on things and have only been there a couple times. I would like to make it up on a TNT one night to see you run. Whatever happened to that shortblock I gave you? Is that the block?

    If the car isn't spinning you wont really pick up anything but they will be more consistent. If you planning on lauching that hard often I would go with the rod ends rather then bushings unless you want to change the bushing all the time. I have ran everything from stock to Wolfe racecraft race suspension. I didnt really gain ET but the car drives and launches much more straight.

    Thanks Mike. That block is long gone. I have a 306 now. 347 for next year. Yeah, you might be right on the launches. Once you start hard, its hard to go back. I like the 7000 RPM Launches. No spinning either. I dont want to keep replacing bushings either. Rod ends might be in the near future. I am going to focus now on making the car safer.

    Bob recommended my putting an air bag in the right rear. The car really flexes.

    i had put bag in mine, cheap easy and it worked lol was twistin bad eatin off my back passenger tire
    didnt get to see run last night, i take it urs twisted outta the hole

    Before I went to the wolfe racecraft rear suspension and put an anti rollbar on the car I could not get the car to not twist. I ran air bags and adjustable shocks and would run the passanger side shock completely stiff with air in the bag and would still twist. I do recommend the bags for something quick, cheap and easy. They will help but probably wont cure the problem. My car 60ft's a little harder but it should'nt be to big of a difference. My 60ft's are low 1.40's.
