My father on street tires spinning half the track. You also have to cut him a break, as he has not been on a drag strip since he was about 18 years old, that would have been 1967. He might be just a tad rusty and combine that with a car that makes enough power to alter the rotation of the planet... and add to that that street tires suck..... He should be forgiven for making a less than spectacular showing.

Next on the list: Get wheels and Drag Slicks or DOT Slicks!

nice. iwasnt bashing him. Its just uncommon to see a car like that running those times but hey things happen and im sure next time will be better!!

3rd Run: 13.09 at 119 MPH

This was when I told him to pretend he is at a red light in town a local cop is setting in the car next to him. Just pull out easy and softly drive through 1st and 2nd gear and then try to accelerate once he's in third gear.

It was his fastest MPH by a long shot! Driving slow was faster. Who would have though.

So about 30 min ago we called Discount Tire Direct and ordered a set of Nitto NT05R Drag Radial tires in 185-40-18 and a set of Replica mustang wheels in 18-9 and having them delivered mounted and ballanced.

That is an upgrade, but if you really just want to drag race occassionally, you would have been much better off with a set of 15" drag wheels/tires to swap at the track.
Those short sidwall 18" DRs will still be tricky for you. You have a built 8.8", 15" bias-plys or DRs would have been a better choice.
Might consider canceling order.

Yeah, it is Creative Vado HD deal and the zoom sucks (only 2X digital)..

For 79 bucks it is decent, but limited.

Seems like everyone had a decent night and ran pretty good, well everyone but me haha. I had 4 runs and none of them were good. Last year I ran 11.6-11.9s all day long and run 1.9-2.0 sixty foots. My first run this time was a 12.1 @124 with a 2.1 sixty foot. All my other runs were complete crap. Two of them my car spun like crazy and the other one (vid below) my car bogged SO bad, I ran a 3.3 60' hahaha. I did run my best trap of 125.18 though.

The 3.73s are just too much for street tires so I'm gonna get some 15x10s for my slicks and go for 10s by the end of the year.

It wasn't the best I ever saw, but there sure wasn't anything wrong with that starting line. I've been on worse on a raceday there, and other tracks, for sure.

Stock Cobra IRS with 315 35 17 Nitto DR's... I've had a few 1.8 60's with the same exact setup. 1.93 was my best 60' with 2.1x being the average. I live too far away to run slicks and they don't fit in my trunk. My next outting will be on my 315 Hoosiers.
