hey still ran pretty good! I saw a 12.30 pass! almost pulled the wheels!
Again, nice pictures:D If the clutch isnt slipping it will usually get some light under the tires.
I'm in the middle of a decission on a replacement clutch. The Spec 3+ that was in there was installed to start the 2007 season. Lots of passes and miles on it, I just wish I had better faith in Spec's quality to know another would last even half of that. Several guys i know had the 3+ slip for them in less than 2K miles at similar power levels.
Not a lot of other options, talking to Centerforce about their DFX stuff, and looking at a Clutchnet 4 puck disc with a beefed up cover.
Heck, i've even been looking at auto stuff, decided it would bore me ;)
Not sure of their options for your tranny, but Exedy has been good for me.

It's pretty well Either Spec or piecing things together from Clutchnet.
Unfortunately, no such animal right now. We are talking with someone about a package but the issue is with the covers.
Well ... maybe if you make any torque off boost, otherwise getting a converter that works is the BIG problem.
Keep saying that ... You know stick shift cars rule ;)
Late to the party, but wanted to pass along my congrats too. That's awesome Bob, had to feel pretty good! Nice job on your build and run.
Good luck with your trans/clutch decisions, hope it works out and make that .94 a temporary best!
Thanks Chuck. I'm ripping the car appart on Friday to start my new EMS so it should pick up a little when I can run the turbo to what it's sized for and still fuel it :D The good news is I have a decent 12.0X and 12.2X set-up right now, will just have to fine tune the 12.00 set up and have the other side on kill.
New clutch is ordered, and there never really was much of a decission on transmission ;) An auto really isnt in my DNA.
Yeah, it's hard to imagine you and Ed without handshakers. :D
You know Bob. Mentioning your clutch slipping makes me wonder if I have mine over adjusted since head swap. Could explain a few things on my end.

WOW! Good thought ... Killed 3/10th's on my stuff slipping. Check that out for sure.
Cover = Pressure plate, For a twin disc there isn't a ready made pressure plate. Even the "good" pressure plates are built on a Valeo or other stock type cover then modofied for preeusre and rolerized or whatever (my Spec 3+ is a Valeo cover). 5.0 stuff is 10+ inches, up to 11" or like that?? The 2.3 stuff is a 9" clutch :( there are also differences in the depths). Effectively, not much the same. There isan option to get a 5.0 clutch in there, but it involves an adapter plate, special flywheel, and about $1500.00
bwhahahahaahaha ... I'm just changing the whole EMS and Clutch ... nah, I'm not messing with it much
If I don't use this window to get the Microsquirt in there, It's probably not going to happen this season (Going to China for 3 weeks of August). Car is going in the garage Friday morning and that will be the last it runs on Ford electronics. I want to get that done, even if it messes with Norwalk. Big gamble I know ...
