    Exclamation HELP!!! why cant I find these wheels in mint condition!!!



    I know I stole this pic from one of the other members....

    where can I find these wheels in perfect condition!?!?!? I dont know why im having a hard time finding these. must be polished and not one mark on them.

    when i bought my 98 it came with thoes rims, guy took terrible care of them. is it worth getting re chromed?

    Try Collins Powder Coating a site sponsor with his own forum on here.
    Probably could do some cool PC options. Otherwise strip the clear and repolish.

    they are polished not chromed. I dont know what you would do to fix em'

    i wouldnt powdercoat.. just refinish IMO

    It depends on the severity of the pitting and rash. Is it just light and can be sanded out? If it is heavy and needs a filler, then your polishing option is pretty much gone. You could have them aluminum filled and sanded then polished, but I would venture a guess that it would get pricey.

    I had one wheel replaced under warranty on my '01 Cobra for clearcoat peel.
    Clearcoat issues can make it look worse than it is after you strip the clear, so it might be fine underneath.

    Good point J. If the clear is peeled, chipped, cracked etc.... then the "pitting" could be a very easy sand and polish.

    The curb rash on the other hand..............................
