Well guys, it's getting closer. Based on my last testing Thursday and Friday, I'm about as ready as I've ever been for this race ...

I'm likely just going to run the brackets at this point. I need some more tuning to get back to that 12.00 range for TS and am not slowing it down to run 13.00 so I'll just do BIII, maybe BII. We will see, if I can find something in TnT Friday I might still buy into TS.

Washed the car this morning, filled it up with Sunoco 100 no lead, and put it in the Garage. I have to go out of town Sun - Wed night, but will be home Thursday and pulling out of here around 5:00 PM.

I got word that Fast Dave Flanders tested last night to a 8.94 @ 153 with a horrid 1.44 60ft. The horrid 60' is his quote, I could live with that ;) He is planning for TS. In addition Joe Laramee is planning to be there with his 8.96 @ 151 Pinto. Joe likely wont accept that and has set a goal to get thrown out of open comp (8.80 bump) ... as well as several other of the TurboFord guys going to be there.

If anyone doesnt mind pitting with the lowly 4 bangers let me know and we will save some room ;)

Hey Bob, as of right now we're planning on going for the show on sunday weather permitting. We'll try to stop by and say hi, last year when we stopped you where on your way to get some parts. I hope you have better luck this year.

Got the car loaded with all the stuff needed for the weekend. I have to go into work for a bit tomorrow morning, then grab the trailer on the way home, tie the car down, and hit the road :D

Ummm.... yeah ... my deal is pretty well set up around full on hell. Not sure it will even run if I'm not beating it.

See above - usually going WFO & going rounds don't work well together ;) Eh, I would rather push it on the trailer broke than sand bag my way through a round.

I'm 90% going to enter True Street for Saturday. Even if I can't find the ET needed, I'll give it my best to get there.

Well it's looking like I won't be making the trip, I forgot to get the Bird inspected!!! I've only had it out twice this year and forgot all about it. I called my usual guy and he's not in. Oh well that's what I get for not paying more attention!

Not a good weekend for the 2.3 crowd ...

JD's Pinto was dead yesterday over a number of new car gremlins. That car is amazing and thep ictures simply don't do it justice (and it looks good in the pictures)

A number of us was in T/S today.

Flanders ended up runner up in T/S but puked at 1000' on the last pass. He likely had the win if it wasn't for that as all the times to that point was better than the round 2 pass. My junk went flat on the first pass when it went into third gear, then wouldn't make (enough) boost for the second pass. I pulled mine out, found my POS crap header cracked again.

None the less, it was a great weekend. We had a pile of us out on the cruise and had a great time there. Going to hang out tomorrow and watch the heads up classes.

I had a blast, gettin to race and run outta state and do burnouts were all the big NHRA Pros have done'em! That alone was an honor!

Racing in the bracketIII field I ran two almost identical 14.00s with a stick, oh yeah. Which had me PO'd cause its still isn't runnin faster #er's after all the mods I did this year. Their was a head wind thou which suckt. But in the first round I dialed 14.01, n was gettin to the stripe first on a 12sec Stang so I lifted with about 10 ta 15 feet left and still broke out runnin a 13.99!! I was on a decent pass too since it was coolin off and the wind was lettin up a bit. But boy was I PO'd even more!! Then the dude that beat me missed round 2, wtf! I didn't realize that till hours later.

All in all it was awesome, even thou I got more PO'd as the day went on. Although I wish I would of did the True Street, I would of definately had a shot to win the 14.00 class considerin I didn't see really any 14 second cars run! Sux alwayz next time thou.

It was nice meetin and bs'n with lib88stang and his Dad and I think uncle again, hope to see u guyz at the FLD's! Sorry u missed out Jay I was lookin for ya too. He ran his best of of 13.3 on his first pass but then found out he cracked his intake manifold on his second. I'll be catchin up with ya here soon Larry. LOL, that's just the curse of the 2.3 guys at Columbus. About half the guys planning to go break testing to come there, then we finish the rest off while we are there If there is one left running at the end of the weekend, we set it on fire ;) It's all cool, as we have a good time with it.

Click the link I posted above. The winning 14 second average was a 14.0X something, but you are right, it was a thin group at that range. Based on what you ran, you would of had a real shot at it. You have got to try it sometime. We had a blast the whole way on the cruise, then hanging out in the staging lanes together and BS'ing and whatever. For us, we had 5 of our group in T/S so it was really fun to hang out like that.
