1/4 mile is not what they're made for. I had mine on a twisty road one night and had it at the point I was starting to scare myself and the tires were not even starting to squeel yet.
Top end is a whole different story. Had mine up to 178 on the way home from the office. It still had alot left in it, but the wind noise was too dam loud on my ears to stay in it any longer. The car is a blast for sure!
