My poor clutch ...

LOL, no shame for this clutch, deffinately got my monies worth out of this one, just hope it's replacement does half as good. This clutch was installed to start the 2007 season. Raced all of '07, '08, '09, and the begining of this year before it started to slip.

Cover still looks good ....

Disc even looks okay. Worn for sure, but not bad at all considering the abuse it's seen ...

Then we get to the root of why it slipped ;) The flywheel is worn away about .030 ...

And about the same on the pressure plate ... Also seems something got between the cover and the clutch at some point. There is a mating groove in the clutch, but no parts missing ... Not sure what that was. You can really see the wear in this pic of the pressure plate at the edge.

I really think I should call spec up and complain ... three seasons, leaving off idle, granny shifts ... and it does this :D No shame at all ;) This is why I love the 3+ clutches :D

Well, after being so happy with them, they screwed me. They didn't have forged rings for the pressure plates (come from Valeo) and my new clutch will ship Friday at best, more likely Monday. This effectively screws me for a number of things I had planned.

Now I'm the one pissed ;)

Welll ... spec got me my new clutch today. Got the new flywheel, cutch, etc assmebled ot the new shortblock, and got the new short block in the car and all bolted in / down / etc. It's just the shortblock at this point, but i can start bolting stuff to it tomorrow night.
