    FS:1981 Honda CB900C

Looking to sell my bike I purchased a few months ago. Its a 1981 Honda CB900 Custom. CLEAR Title In Hand. High/Low range transmission-great for city/highway driving. Front/rear air suspension. Has a set of hard saddle bags on it, along with a bigger comfortable seat. Bike has 29,5XX miles on it as of today. Just looking to upgrade to something possibly newer or would consider a trade on a somewhat descent running truck/car/suv. Bike runs great for being almost 30 years old. Chrome pipes are in great condition, put on mini turn signals(not wired with running lights). New old stock headlight and housing, prefect condition. Has cargo rack on rear with a backrest that's adjustable for passenger or driver. Replaced rear shocks due to one blowing out on me(biig pothole), still have an extra for the left hand side. Also replaced the turn signal relay to an electronic one. New rear Dunlop D404 Tire, maybe 150 miles on it. Inspection's up at the end of the month, will get inspected if buyer is serious about purchase. Had tire put on at Cycle Service Center by Jeff, said it will need nothing for inspection. Front tire is close to wear marks but is for sure passable. Bike comes with a fairing, owners manual, repair manual and some extra diagrams for the wiring. Only thing that seems to give me a headache is a tick in the exhaust, not sure if its a valve or just the baffles in the muffler. When accelerating, theres no noise. When stopping, pulling in the clutch, you'll hear a bit of a tick-isn't coming from the head or motor so I'm guessing its just the baffle but not positive. Leaks a tiny droplet of oil from the bottom of the case every now and again, sure its an easy fix or nothing to really worry about.

Sorry this is long, just being totally honest and informative. I've been riding this bike to work every single day, rain or shine. It's given me absolutely no problems AT ALL. Once a week I'll check the oil, add if needed. Garaged when I'm not riding it. I just need to get rid of it to buy a descent used car/truck to get me back and forth to work.

Background from when I purchased it. The guys brother in law passed away, and was selling it for him I suppose. Sat for a year in this guys garage. He threw a new battery in it a few months before he sold it. His brother told me he rode this bike all the time, rain, snow, sleet, sun whatever it was. Surprisingly, theres not a spec of rust anywhere. In overall good condition given it's age.

I am asking for $1300.00 for the bike. If you are interested, PM me a message or email me at FMXRider260@hotmail.com. Usually working odd hours so not posting a phone number. Check email daily. If you are the type of person to not take care of your toys, don't bother. I don't want to see this bike go to hell. I see these all the time around for cheap as dirt that've been sitting and rotting. You don't find many that run now a days. Pic's below!

Same spot it sat in for a year.

    Day purchased:

Fairing delete, new turn signals, fresh oil change(filter/oil)
