    Summer mods

    just curious to see what mods everyone has done to their stang this summer.


    I did the following to my 87 gt:

    Had my entire rear end rebuilt at wolfpack speed (thanks again mike!!!)
    -31 spline 03/04 cobra differential
    -31 spline axles
    -3.73 gears

    -Moates Quarterhorse w/Binary editor

    -March adjustable alternator bracket (allowed me to delete the tensioner)

    -H&R supersport lowering springs

    -Re-painted titanium lower on front bumper, rear bumper, and sides

    Before summer is over i would like to either buy a rear seat delete from here: http://www.kdezines.com/MustangParts...KitRaceVersion

    Or make my own. i'll prob try to make my own and if it turns out like crap ill buy one

    My Mods and goals for the rest of summer are:

    -Paint hood. Its in Primer now and its killing me on how rice it looks. I have the paint, I just havent had time to sand are shoot it yet.
    -get some sort of differnt tire/wheel combo other than stock
    -light tint
    and if there is time before classes start again I would like to lower it and paint some Le Mans Stripes

    Next summer tho, either V8 5 speed swap or sell it and look for a GT

    Here's a list of my parts that were pretty much all Steel City Stangified, hehe!

    Also had cross drilled slotted rotors up front installed and gutted back rear seat delete which is basicly my headrest and cusions now that I can take out real quick like, at track time!

    just picked up 96-98 export taillights, haven't put them on the car yet though

    Went a little overboard honestly, I didn't originally plan to do the 347 but once I did my taxes I started thinking about it and before I knew it I was on the phone with Fordstrokers :)

    hey Dan where did you get the windshield cowl from, I'd like to see pics, thanks man, and you can add 4pt roll bar to your list, lol got to get that to you

    Here's a pic of the cowl:



    I got it from a group buy on SVTPerformance, it came with no attachment clips, weather stripping, or grilles in the vent slots, so it took quite a bit of work on my end to get it on right (had to trash a factory cowl to get the clips off it to epoxy to the CF one, etc...)

    As far as the roll bar, let me know a price, I'm a bit burnt out on the car spending-wise these days, especially since I never get to drive it anymore (I've only gotten to put 450 miles on the new motor in the 2 months I've had it in...). But if the price is right I'll take it off your hands.

    Hmmm... Started out with a light agenda for the summer, well that went way wrong ... ended up:

    New Clutch - no shame for the old one, but bad timing to start slipping in the middle of summer.

    Repair header - Started trying to find an exhaust leak ended up with the entire hot side off the car.

    New Shortblock - Heard a noise while looking for header crack. Wnet deeper and found a coupel of rods shorter than when they started.

    New EMS - ripped out all of the Ford electronics and am now running on a stand alone.

    So after several weeks of trying to get the parts it's going back together. Should make noise Thurday unless I screw something up along the way. Yep, light agenda ;)

    Basically a new engine combo (thanks to bill for that) smoothed engine bay. New fuel system and tubular front end with coil overs. All because i needed a new heater core. Hahaha
