I hate to do it but its time to sell my beloved SVT Focus. I never gave these cars the credit they deserved when they were out new, but after owning one I'd buy another in a second if they still made them. I LOVE this car, but with only 2 doors and two kids its becoming too much to haul them around. I purchased the car with ~75K miles back in early 2008. It now has 120K miles on it.
Since I've owned it I've replaced:
-power steering pump
-sway bar end links
-thermostat housing
-serpentine belt
-timing belt replaced this year
-plugs and wires replaced this year
All oil changes have been done on time by me using Ford 5w30 synthetic blend oil and ford oil filters. I drive it conservatively but I never get less than 27-28mpg and I've had a best of 35 and 36mpg respectively on trips to Cleveland. These cars were never rated that high from Ford and that was one of the reasons I never thought much of them. These cars handle INCREDIBLY well. IMO its the perfect daily driver. Its quick and fun when needed, its thrifty when it comes to fuel, and you can haul all kinds of stuff in it. Here's a brief list of features:
-2003 SVT Focus Pitch Black 2 door hatch
-6sp manual transmission
-2.0L Zetec 170hp 145tq
-cold weather package which included: heated front seats, heated mirrors, engine block heater (one of my favorite features), and traction control
-17" wheels
-very supportive black leather with red cloth inlayed seats
-seats feature top mount quick tilt, lumbar, height adjustment, and
infinite adjustable recline
-factory 8" subwoofer
-steering column mounted audio controls
-factory HID headlights
-SVT specific upgraded brakes and suspension
-factory power sunroof

For the bad, well there isn't much. It has the normal chips associated with a car driven year round in this area. I had a woman throw open her door and hit the rear 1/4 panel of my car and it made a small dent/scratch. Someone recently hit the rear bumper as well and it made a small mark. The passenger side door handle recently broke and I can not open the door. I thought a piece broke off of the plastic door handle so I bought a new painted one and it turned out it wasn't the problem. There is a little metal piece in the door that has a tab that broke off. I can get the part for ~$40 with my local discount at my ford garage.
I'm pricing this for a quick sale so the price is FIRM. KBB list this car at $5395 in good condition. I'm looking for $4,250. I'm buying a VW GTI and signing the paper work any day now. Don't delay, if you are interested call me on my cell at 814-935-four four 83. The car is located in Altoona which is approx 2hrs east of Pittsburgh.
These pictures are old but indicative of the car. I'll try to find time to get new ones.
