Do I need to change my steering linkage?
More than likely you will have to get a Flaming River Steering shaft. I know that with the Canfield heads, even the Flaming River shaft had a slight clearance issue still. I'd say there will be about a 75% chance you may have a steering shaft clearance issue.
You might have to use a Flaming River steering shaft with 1 3/4 headers.

BTW, I had MAC 1-5/8" headers on it cause I tried 3 other sets and none would clear the Lakewood Steel Bellhousing.
My BBK 1 5/8" long tubes rub the steering shaft slightly, but have done so for probably 50,000 miles with no issues or noises.

I have Hooker 1 5/8 super comp's on mine and clearance is tight, but they fit and dont make any noise.

I run MAC 1 5/8" and they worked fine with the steering shaft. They weren't any fun installing thou.
