Went for ride in a GTR

My buddy just picked up a 2010 GTR, and all I can say is WOW. Handling is most impressive, I've been in plenty of evo's and wrx's, this thing is insane going around bends.

Fast... yea not bad at all. He already did a programmer on it and it claims to make it around 550 base hp. The thing takes off like a rocket ship, 1st and 2nd make you feel like your skins gonna peel off the back of your head, once 3rd hits, it definitely calms down. The paddle shifts make shifts incredibly fast. All the gizmo's and gadgets inside is crazy, takes a month to learn it all.

I had a chance to get a ride in one also. The car is absolutely insane with respect to handling. You're right too on launches it sucks you into the seat so hard its unreal.

I hope he's saved up for the brake job I heard its something like 3,000 bucks due to the components used.

I haven't taken any vids or likely will I. Being inside in first couple gears, it's an unexplainable feeling unless you've been in one. The damn thing pulls so FKN hard, it's almost everything u can do to hold on let alone hold a camera.

Make sure your friend reads his owners manual and understands that if he turns "ON" Launch Control he voids his warranty. From what I've seen on the web, GTR transmissions are weak and run excessive of 20K to replace.

I was there the night Rick raced Dan and Garrett. Dan's Evo put down around 650 on a Mustang dyno and Garrett's makes 704 also on a Mustang dyno. I was riding in Espo's Z06 and we raced Rick too. In the video Espo started late and Rick killed him but they raced later and it was dead even.
