Ouch! That's an interesting point of view.

    My perspective...

Summit Show = A bunch of nice Mustangs in a parking lot.

Beaver Cruise = Thousands of nice cars from 8am to 10pm, of ALL makes and models, in a nicely restored old fashioned town, Main Street USA, with a park, shops, cruise lane, and the closest thing to a modern day American Graffiti you will find. Arguably the largest and nicest car cruise in the tri-state area.

Beaver Cruise >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> summit show :D

    To each his own.

Yeah - I haven't been to the Summit show. Sounds like a nice time. But the Beaver show is pretty darn close and they do get a fantastic turnout of all different types of cars. Too bad they're both on the same day...

I am in the mood to go to an all Mustang show honestly, the Beaver cruise is definitely a nice show but the Summit show is the only one in the region worth going to that is all Mustangs (other than Carlisle but that includes all Fords). I can go to Wexford and see an easy 1000+ cars of all makes and models any Friday during the summer if I'm in the mood for a mix.

It also doesn't help that last time I went to the Beaver cruise I drug the crap out of my exhaust over the large speed bump on the road through the middle of the cruise, and that was 2 years ago when the front of my car sat an inch higher and I didn't have long tubes yet...lol

Beaver Hot Summer Nights is always the first Saturday in August. I hope they schedule the Summit Mustang Show on a different day next year.

Don't forget Dan, Mustang wk. at Myrtle Beach. Thats also an all Mustang shin dig. I know thou its a hall to MB and its not in "the region".

I gotta go with what Intel said, Beaver is the nicest cruise in the area and it is only 5 miles from my house. Its gonna be packed.

If I was smart and planned ahead, I would have gone to Summit from 9am to 2pm, then went to Beaver on the way home from 3pm to 9pm. That would be the ultimate car day. But I have other plans and can't swing it.

I'm going to try and go out it's my bro's birthday today so maybe I will make it, and visit it with him and my family out there a little.

I don't mean to slight your cruise as it must be very dear to your heart. However, we hit the Woodward Dream Cruise every year up in Michigan so little local cruises don't really get me that excited. But based on your times, you could easily do both at your leisure. ;)

I will pick the mustang show over the beaver cruise because it's all mustangs, but don't know that i'd say it's better. been to the beaver cruise twice over the past years and it is quite the event and alot of fun. I love how they close the town down so that you can cruise up and down however many blocks of town that it covers. It's not the typical "little local cruise".

Looks like the weather will be beautiful for saturday so both shows should have huge turnouts.

Watch your mouth. Beaver is an awesome cruise, just look at the name of the city!

I would prob go to an all GTO show over Beaver tho... but it def isn't a little local cruise.

Don't forget guys.. we have an All Ford Show down this way.. 2 hours.. that is somewhat in the region .. much better in distance than MB and even closer than Carlisle.

Our show is Saturday Aug 21st and Pop's Stang is planning a cruise to it.

On a side note, I want to do something this weekend, just not sure of my schedule. Would be nice to make it to either of these shows....

    Just for the record...

Little Local Cruise = 20 to 200 cars (weekly or monthly) Local
Big Regional Cruise = Thousands of cars (once a year) Beaver
Big National Cruise = Over 10,000 cars (once a year) Woodward

The Beaver Cruise was ranked 13th in the nation in 2009 by Cruisin' Times Magazine.
