    PRP mentions QCR

I am still not clear whether QCR is closed for good but PRP mentions it in their website.

All of us at PRP are saddened to hear the official announcement that Quaker City Raceway is closing and will not operate as a drag race facility; bringing an end to a great facility for many years. We wish the owner, racers, and spectators the best in the years ahead.

At this time, we would like to welcome any and all racers and spectators to our facility in Pittsburgh. We will try to make the transition as smooth as we can. You may also rent a pit spot and leave your trucks, trailers, whatever you like in your spots to avoid any long hauls with your equipment. We have a lot of good events taking place this year and the future continues to get bigger and better. Come and join our family and have fun.

Feel free to call with any questions or concerns you may have at 724-668-7600

All I can say is I hope they are ready for the bigger load... past experiences have been that on higher load nights are just total chaos...maybe more nights to make the load smaller?

There are several other tracks in Ohio close to QCR, norwalk and dragway 42. I don't think it will be a big difference but there should be an increase.
