What kind of mufflers do you have?

Listen to some sound clips of different catbacks on youtube. H pipes are usually louder than x pipes on a Fox. Does the H pipe have cat converters ?
What muffler are you running ? Straight through mufflers are usually louder than baffled mufflers.
Is the engine stock or does it have some work done on it ? This has a big effect on what your car sounds like.

Motor is prety much stock. No idea what mufflers are on it and there are no cats. Was told it was a 2.5 inch catback with 2.5 inch tips
I have BBK 1 5/8" longtubes,BBK 2.5" offroad X-pipe and 2.5" MAC produmps. My car is pretty loud, especially from about 2,300 to 3,200 rpm. I think that not having tailpipes makes a huge difference. The only down side is that there are a lot of exhaust fumes inside the car.

Very hard to give you an opinion when you don't have any idea what kind of mufflers you have. Long tubes won't make much difference in sound (dB wise), the only way to make the car louder without heads/cam (which makes a huge difference) is louder mufflers. Cutting the tailpipes off will make the car sound louder inside, and then as an added bonus the fuel will get hot from the exhaust gases pointing straight at the tank (unless you run dumps, which IMO make the car sound quieter inside) and the in-tank pump will shut off intermittently. Go buy louder mufflers.

Mufflers are everything...
I have BBK long tubes, BBK X-pipe, no cats, Flowmaster Delta Flows, full length tailpipes and the car is QUIET at idle and normal cruising without annoying drone. But it is loud as hell if you get on it. I like this setup because it sounds unique, not obnoxious and I have some control over the DB's.

The original Flowmaster 40 Series are very loud all the time with a lot of drone, while the newer series Flowmaster Deltas Flows have much less resonance and drone. Lots of mufflers to choose from out there, just depends on how loud you want it and when you want it.
I always liked the old-school ATR Pit-Bull mufflers myself. Nasty!
Going to check to see what type of mufflers are on it tonight after work!!
