2 missed field goals didn't help either. But that's okay the season's young.

true BUT you can't rely on Reed in that situation. Those two missed field goals were off of 2 turnovers by baltimore. then we go 3 and out... that is BULLSHIT. we need to at least put together somewhat of a drive after turnovers instead of hoping Reed will make two 40+ yard field goals (although he is capable and would of been nice if he made them. and he should of made them).

point is, im blaming the missed opportunities on the offense (more specifically Bruce Arians), not on reed

Grades for Today...

Ben - A+ great job in his first game back. Overthrew a few open guys, but made really nice plays by shrugging off tacklers. The last TD to Heath was perfectly thrown.

Mendenhall - A the Browns rush D is not bad, and Mendenhall did a nice job. The run from our own 2 where he broke some tackles and broke the run to the left side was sweet! He is developing some nice moves - for a guy with pretty good power, he is frequently making the first guy miss. He's also catching a few balls out of the backfield, which is nice.

Timmons A+ He had like 9 tackles, 2 sacks, and an interception. He is playing at a very high level right now. If he keeps it up, he SHOULD make the pro bowl.

Harrison - A Damn can that guy hit. They didn't show the replay of the hit on Cribbs - but he sure must have rung his bell. Same goes for the hit on the other receiver.

O-line's job got a lot easier with Ben coming back. For the most part they gave him plenty of time to get rid of the ball.

Was nice to see Eason and Legursky ( sp? ) come back in the game after leaving with injuries.

So we're 4-1 and atop the AFC North. Gotta love the ravens going down to the Patsies in OT today!

Miami must have looked pretty good today since they beat a good Packer team. It will take our best effort to win down there next week!

With Ben, the Steelers will be playing in Dallas (Arlington) in February 2011! I really see no weaknesses, except maybe the corners... Go Steelers!

Saints game - holy blind ref batman...on 3rd and goal Mendenhall gets his facemask grabbed and head turned around and no call. Should have been 1st and goal from the 1...

And why the heck didn't we challenge the 2nd down play - looked to me like Mendenhall got the ball over the line before his butt hit the ground. I guess Tomlin didn't want to use his 2nd challenge, and figured we'd get it in on 3rd down...

ok - done venting for now - hopefully the D keeps the hammer down and we keep running the ball. We can wear down this Saints defense and push them around in the 4th quarter.

Seems to me like Troy is making a bit of a statement tonight - he's not happy with Goodell and has really buckled up his chinstrap!!

I hear ya John - the only problem is that Greg Williams is blitzing every down and Ben doesn't have time. I think we need to roll him out of the pocket and throw in a pump fake and we'll end up with some BIG plays.
