Logan, who cares. He didn't do anything to stand out, and they like this Brown kid alot.
Pouncey > Hartwig...but I am surprised they cut him. Thought they would play Hartwig even though Pouncey is clearly a stud, and the better guy for the job. He earned it...
Hartwig isn't bad, just got out played.
^ I agree.
As for Cowher, I am a fan. Everyone has differnt thoughts. Im still bitter about Porter leaving. So clearly i am stuck in 05.

Young kid learing the ropes. That game would have been a blow out with Ben in there IMO. I think both QB's looked pretty bad. The falcons actually seemed to wear down the steelers D the same way they wanted to wear down the falcon's D. Either way, if you hold a team to 9 points you would hope you win, Lol.
Plus I was laughing about mendenhals (sp)? fake left go right, spin move EVERY play. You could tell he was so close to breaking free for a big run....glad he finally got it.
What a great game, and a nail biter toward the end.
Dixon, good job. It could of been A LOT worse! The defense stepped it up to help him and got the job done!

Definitely a tough game, but at least we got the win. Really sucks that Starks went down - I bet he'll be out for a few weeks. The O-line is pretty thin now. That's not good news when we know we're going to have to run the ball a LOT the next couple of weeks.
Dixon didn't do too badly, although he did throw a few really bad passes. But you have to expect that from a guy with so little experience. I think half of the problem was the fact that the offensive game plan was SO vanilla. It did not draw upon any of Dixon's strengths. You rarely win a game when you call only one long throw downfield.
Mendenhall - wow did he do a nice job in my opinion. I was very surprised at how many tackles he eluded behind or at the line of scrimmage. I was waiting for him to break one - he was close to doing it all day, even though his yardage numbers didn't seem that way.
I can't bash Jeff Reed for the 2 missed field goals. The long one was so close ( crossbar ) and the 40 yarder couldn't have missed by much - I had a bad angle on that one and couldn't tell. The fact is that he kept us in the game today by scoring our only points for 60 minutes.
Our defense - holy cow was I impressed. I hope Hampton's hammy is ok - although Hoke played great in his absence. Michael Turner is one heck of a running back and our D did a fantastic job of keeping him in check. Roddy White is a stud receiver and McFadden did a great job of keeping him in front of him, not giving up the big play, and challenging for the ball on a ton of catches. Timmons played one heck of a game. Harrison was held on so many plays ( no penalties called of course ) that I was surprised when the ref actually saw the mugging he got in overtime. On the play where Troy picked off the pass I saw that we only had one corner covering the 2 receivers to the left and I was freaking out. After Ryan snapped the ball I saw Troy sneaking over toward the sideline, but I was thinking there was no way in hell he could get to the ball - and then he caught it. Honestly, it is like he can read the quarterback's mind. Pure football instinct right there - we're lucky he's on our side.
Gotta love that the Bengals, Colts, Broncos, and Browns lost today. Let's hope the Jets can beat the Ravens tomorrow. And hopefully we'll be at or very near the top of the division when Ben comes back in week 6.
Nice win Steelers - now it is time to buckle up the chin straps and try to stop Chris Johnson in his house...

I double checked the schedule after I posted that.
That's what I get for not paying attention. Forgot about the bye.
