What a great game! And the 4+ hours of tailgating beforehand were pretty good too! Footwarmers in the boots and a new pair of ICEFISHING gloves and I was set! Not cold at all! Of course, the 10 layers of clothes I was wearing helped a little.
No matter how much we watch and think we know about our Steelers, I think that EVERYONE around here ( myself included ) takes our team for granted at least a little bit. Our defense is nothing short of spectacular. Think of this for a minute...we did most of this without Aaron Smith. A few years ago, we lost Smith to injury and the defense fell apart. This group of guys is special...period. Coach LaBeau is worth 10 times what they pay him. We are very spoiled and very lucky. On offense, this team just finds a way to get it done. I don't think many people believed that Mendenhall and our patchwork O-line would take over tonight's game. Especially after Pouncey went down.
What a long, great, and tiring day today was. As soon as I can find the energy to turn off ESPN I'm going to bed.
Let's get #7 in Dallas!! Oh shit...NFL Primetime just started on ESPN...

LeBeau is 73, if he calls it quits after this season he has left a standard for playing that can not be matched. I read that the Cardnals want him due to the opening. but I cant see him leaving Pittsburgh. If he does stay for another season, that says alot about how tough this guy is.

I think people also take Legursky for granted.....I mean man did he step up and keep the steelers going. He's been the all over bondo for the o-line imo. Couple bad snaps but heck he's directly involved with every play. Mendenhall looked like he was on crack, never saw him run like that before. So fast and powerful.
I like watching the steelers when they're behind though, not with a lead.....destroys my nerves knowing how they let people come back after every lead.
