    Awesome old Trans Am video

As a former Javelin owner and fan of AMC products, this video rocks!

OK, for those who don't know the story behind this...

The Pony Car Wars and Trans-Am Racing was hot back in the day. The main players and the media didn't take AMC seriously. When they put it together, they had the best driver, best car, best crew and dominated.

1971: Mark Donohue wins final 6 races and 7 out of 9 to become the Trans-Am Champion. In the final race of the season, all 3 Javelin's finished in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places making AMC the season winner among all manufactures.

1972: Roy Woods and ARA would campaign the Javelin's backed by AMC dealers. George Follmer drove the red-white-blue Javelin's to give American Motors it's second Trans-Am Championship.

It was a Cinderella story in auto racing. It was a really big deal back then. I loved that video for the nostalgia factor... the speaker, the driving scenes, the women shots, music, etc.

The music reminded me of something from Smoky and the Bandit or Dukes of Hazzard. :D
