    8.8 upper bushing removal

    Has anyone removed these without buying the bushing removal tool ?
    I got the rubber out easily but the shell is a different story. I don't want to beat on it and end up breaking off an ear.

    Anyone have the tool and want to rent it to me so I don't have to spend $40.00 for a tool I'm only going to use once ?

    use a drill and drill holes through it and hammer it out

    Take a saw or sawzall and cut a slit in the shell and it will come out easily.

    I own the MM tool but it out on loan. I've never used it to re-install them as I use Baselines uppers and the use a solid insert.
