    4.30's or 4.56's?

Hey guys, I have 4.10's in the Cobra now and was seeing if anyone out there has the 4.30's or the 4.56's in their Terminators? If so, which should I go with? Thanks!

Dou you think you would need more gear than 4.10's with 705 RWHP?

Agreed, may do more harm than good..

Would be a chore just shifting the thing.

My 01 has 4.30s....they are not bad but with more horsepower (especially as much as you have) I definitely dont think Id have any need for anything deeper than these....I need more traction with all the more I have

You never stated the purpose of the gear change, and what size the tires are.

Wouldn't be worth it. Unless you're running a 30" tall tire I think you would be out of gear by the end of the 1/4.

+1 even with only 3.73s in my car I'm reaching the end of 4th gear right at the end of the track. If I were you I'd just keep the 4.10s and get some 28" slicks on 15" wheels. I think 4.30s and 4.56s would be retarded in a 700rwhp car. Wouldn't 3rd gear top out at like 70mph and the top of 5th be around 130-140?

top speed im not really worried about and I have no intentions on taking it to the strip anytime soon. Iv read a couple of articles stating that theres not too much difference between the 4.10's and the 4.30's but 3rd, 4th, 5th so on, do pull harder

Haha, do you like to speed shift 5th/6th? :)
With that power I would consider going the other way from 4.10s.
How are you getting traction before 3rd now?
Top end should be better with taller gears also, you just trying to see how fast you can get from 60-120?
    Strange question.

Are they similar cars to yours? Meaning power/mods? I really think you'll regret it. Although, if you keep the gears, you could always go back if you didn't like the new setup.

Some yes some no. One guy was making 685rwhp and said there wasnt much difference other than the pull through 3rd and up

thats way to much gear for that car. like someone else said unless you plan on running a 28inch or even taller tire it will be worthless. It will probally make the car slower seeing as you will be spinning the tires everwhere.

I cant see how 3rd and 4th gear feel weak. Mine makes 60hp lesss then yours and I am running a 3.73 with 27inch hoosier OTP's

With cars makin that much power you dont need the step gear, the car will pull fine with less gear and be alot more usable.

would depend on what tires you use. i am running 5.13s now with 30 inch tire though. i would figure what tire you are running and what RPM you plan on crossing the traps at. use that as good starting point. i have mine for all motor right now. once i see what i can do will drop back to 4.57s and spray it.

power adder cars typically like a lighter gear IMO.

Whoa geesh... I never said 3rd and 4th feel weak. I said I think it could have more pull. Weak and more pull are two different things, atleast I believe so. As some have said here, I will prob. up the boost by a couple pounds and see what its like then.
