For civilians, maybe... If you want a "cheap" handgun.

That grip safety is silliness. Couldn't pay me to carry that gun on duty.

We carry Glock 37s as out duty weapon.

I carry a Glock 39 as my off duty and back up.

It is a tad heavy for the ankle but shoots real nice for a 45.

No problems wearing it on your waist.

Pull the trigger it shoots everytime. No saftey no bullshit to worry about.

Don't even know the grip safety is there... I was against it at first but it is transparent. If you have a good enough grip on the weapon to work the double trigger then you will never have to worry about the grip safety.

Sometimes you can't get a good grip on the gun pulling it outta a duty holster.

Especially if you are rolling around with someone.

I have little problems with the XD for civilian use.

I ain't putting it in a triple retention holster and worrying about my shooting grip.

Since the "no holster" things seems to be the pimp way to do it.

    Get an XD.

There is no brandishing a firearm in Pa if simply carrying the weapon. You can conceal with a LTCF or open carry in Pa, your choice. Also you do not need a LTCF if you open carry, only need one for conceal carry, carrying loaded in a vehicle. If you choose to open carry do not do it while in a vehicle unless you have a LTCF.

This is a bad idea and I would not reccommend this to anyone, get yourself a good quality IWB holster and you won't even know you have the gun on you. Plus if your carry like that with a round in the chamber then you are taking a huge chance in shooting off the family jewels

I do beleive the average Kahr cost more than a Glock. Also Kahrs are known to have issues, you may get a good one or you may not.

    Surprised noone recomended a revolver.

I often conceal carry my S&W model 342 which is a shrouded hammer DAO 5 shot revolver. +p hydra shoks in it. This gun is so light i often forget i even have it on me. Inside the pants holster.

If i need something really small i carry my Kel-Tec p3AT. It would do the job in close combat.

If I really need firepower I carry my Glock 29 (10mm).

at aces sporting goods in washington, pa the kahr was $440 n the glock was right around $500, both new..n after doing some research i did find that some ppl said they had problems with it during the 200 shot break in period..then others said it works great
