Weather looks awesome for this weekend. Running both Saturday and Sunday. In the drag racing section, there is a thread about how to bracket race. If you want to give it a try, c'mon up this weekend and run in the great weather. Trophy is $20 (DOTs and through the mufflers, 12.00 and slower), and you get 2 time trials plus the first round of eliminations at least for that $20. Just sayin'. :D I'll be in the Street lanes, can't miss me and the '69 Cutlass, glad to help anyone with questions there or on here. Classes, payouts, on the link

Well looks like i lied, i wont be there, had some issues back home, and it seems the Gt is having issues starting. It keeps sputtering bad and requires a few sarp taps of the gas to correct... not sure whats causing this.

Check to see if the mass air meter is connected to your air intake.

ok mike im honestly not that retarded... and yeah the idle air control valve would make alot of sense... anyone got a price on one or have any suggestions?

I think a new iac runs around $100 or so new from a dealer and is very easy to replace. You could also try cleaning yours with carb cleaner and see if it helps before spending money on a new one.

I'm not being a smartass, smartass. Most people don't expect that to be the problem. My air intake came apart once while driving before the MAF and it took me like 10min to realize how stupid of a problem it was.

Thanks, I had the Hoosiers on and there was some better air twards the end of the night.
