Still a very solid car regardless of what purpose it used to serve, very clean only a few small scratches, and not an ounce of rust (Pittsburgh will fix that...lol). A few small changes and it'll definitely be lookin great and running pretty strong.

As I said to Ray when we were sitting at the red light, "Pretty ridiculous that your DD is cammed and caged!" lol, but very awesome
Thanks Dan. Should be a fun little project

Ditto... I don't know about you, but I liked my ranger a lot better than a full size truck. I'm really hoping that Ford puts an ecoboost in a ranger with a stick and 4wd. I'd be allll over that. I probably will be selling the F150 though. I really want a 70's F series for deep snow and any hauling that needs to be done.

Something like this should suit you fine:

Would need one hell of a drop hitch though!

Yea I really did like my ranger better. The interior space is nice in the F150 but thats about it. Ecoboost in a ranger? Thatd be absolutely sick. 70s F series ftw, doesn't someone on here have a nice one? John maybe?

Haha, don't think I haven't thought about it! If I sell my truck I'll be in touch for sure.

I figured there would be at least a few people on here who would have seen the car on CL. The car isn't without it's issues, but for a DD it should work fine.

Ha ha, looking like that on the outside, you're going to have a lot of surprised people when they open the door and see the cage!

Yeah, I look like a real poser right now, lol. The tint is so dark that no one can probably see the cage thankfully, but I guess I should probably take off the vortech superchargers plate frame, haha

Dude, we're all gearheads here. Saying you want "another" Mustang for MPG purposes is absurd. hahahaha

    quick math...
car cost = $6,000 (I have no idea, just guessing)
car insurance = $500/year (again no idea, just guessing)
    car average mpg = 20?
    truck average mpg = 15?
    (car)2.60/gallon / 20 miles = 13 cents/mile (assuming you don't have to use 93 for a tune) ;)
    (truck) 2.60/gallon / 15 miles = 17 cents/mile
let's just say you drive the car an extra 15,000 miles/year that you don't drive truck... 15,000 x 4 cents/mile = $600 per year savings.
take the insurance money out and that's $100 per year savings.
assuming you don't do ANYTHING to the new stang (hahahaha), you would have to keep it and drive it for 60 years to make the MPG argument stick.

OK! even if your truck gets 13mpg, that's 12 years (with NO mods whatsoever)...

Very true, having any EXTRA car for mileage purposes alone would be kinda dumb unless you drive a lot which I really don't. I do plan on selling my truck though. My plan is to have this car and a 70's F series(like John's) for bad snow and hauling stuff. I'll just have liability on the car and that truck which I'm assuming will be close to the same as full coverage on my current truck(haven't priced it yet). All I'll lose is the taxes on the two new vehicles which won't be much with the help of the sellers ;) Also if taken care of the two older vehicles won't depreciate as much as a newer one.

All that being said, I just wanted a more fun vehicle to drive every day. My math was this... About 7000 miles driven a year. Average 13 MPG in the truck, about 18 in the car. At $3 per gallon that comes to a savings of about $450 a year. Will that add up to the cost of a new car, never, will I notice much of a difference in my bank account day to day, no, but overall I'll be happier because I just never liked driving a full size truck every day. I'll have two vehicles for less than the cost of my current truck.

It's funny that I'm such a mizer when it comes to mileage since I've never owned a front wheel drive car or anything that's averaged in the 20's for MPG. That's honestly the sole reason I own a motorcycle, just to have somthing fun to drive that gets awesome gas mileage.

I'm just breaking your balls off, Ray. Don't take offense. It just drives me nuts when people justify new (or used) car purchases with the MPG argument.

hahahahaha you can put lots of gas in the Cobra and Truck for the money you spent on the white car.

Hahaha, no worries man, I know what you're talking about. People think they found the loop hole in the system if they bought a prius but still drive a Tahoe every day but Sunday, lol.
