Worst motorswaps?

Whats the worst motor swap idea you've ever heard of?

actually looks liek they did a nice job on it. at least now can drive it anywhere i like the original look to it.

I'd never take a classic Ferrari and throw an American engine in it, at least that's just me. I'm just old fashioned when it comes to those cars. Some are good ideas like North* Fieros, but in my opinion I don't know whats worse, this car or a 350 chevy in an M3.

Z3's never had any good motors anyways, so that's cool. In fact, this kid Jesse near me got an SR20-DET (I think that's what its called) in his Z3. He had an LS1 Miata before; now there's a motor swap.

Thats the same car,Jesse pulled out the SR20-DET & swapped in an LS1 6spd!

I saw an E36 M3 with an HCI Ford 302 in it and thought it was sick personally, I'm not one for preserving the originality or honoring the heritage of cars, if it's cool, more unique and makes more power or handles better for the most part it's cool with me.

A lot of ford guys scream bloody murder when someone is swapping an LSX into a fox or something but it doesn't bother me, an LS based motor is hard to beat without going to a power adder 4v mod or a dart blocked 8.2/stroked windsor if you're wanting to stay pushrod.

In the end it all boils down to "whatever floats your boat"

When i bought my vert off of lou it had a 3.8v6 in it, its an original 5.0 car....pretty stupid.

The real question that nobody asked....why were you looking at classic ferraris on ebay?.....lol

sold the Miata long ago with ls in it,bought another ls dropout off me for the Bmw!~

Last time I talked to him was maybe 2 years ago when he had the Miata. Haven't touched base in a while. I figured it was since I seen him with the Z3

Because I love older European cars. If I lived in Europe I'd probably be driving an old TVR

yep he took the SR out. i am just bolting the wheel on it right now and he is picking it up tonight so he can finish it. i just built the headers and had driveshaft made up for it.

The only thing i'm not big on is the engine bay. It wasn't exactly pretty. I got no complaints with the rest of the car though. Got any more recent pics of it?

This made me remember we used to put Clevelands in the 10s with factory heads!

Glad to see the Chevies finally caught up!
