03 Termi got the Bias DOT Hoosiers on!

We met with BiminiLX Saturday just after he had he 2nd baby girl, actually he was taking the wife and baby home as we were making plans to meet and discuss getting together to see/buy wheels.

Anyways, we got the wheels and Sunday took a run to Summit and grabbed a set of Hoosier Bias Ply 27-11.5-15 tires and then ran to NTB at the Beaver Valley Mall to get mounted and ballanced.

So now we await this Friday for a test-N-Tune to get some idea what these will do. We did a 4,000 RPM launch in the driveway yesterday and the tires roasted, but I know a drag strip is a lot more grippy than my fresh blacktop driveway.

Sorry, pictures taken with my cell Imagio phone, not a high quality camera!)

The hope is to get this spinning whore out of the 13's and into the 11's!

Lookin good on there, watch out you and your dad might get hooked on the hook :)
Like we talked about, I have no idea how that suspension will react, but I'd start at 15psi in the tire and a 4000rpm launch, hopefully other guys will chime in on those recs.
And BTW, don't listed to Bob or Wick, yhey'll tell ya to leave off the limiter ;)

Man, we got a reputation now ... We almost had to embarrass Rob to get him to go up there, but when he did, his life changed Be sure to add Mike and Ed to that list of decipels of the rev limiter

I would not have taken those tires from Summit ... If I'm seeing it right, one is marked 87" and the other 87 1/4". Those chalk marks are the expected roll out. 1/4" isnt terrible, but they could of matched them better for you.

Most of us running QTP's are down in the 15 PSI area, down to about 12 psi. As J said, start at 15 psi and work down to your comfort level. (Rob was scared lower, lol)

Go to the Hoosier web site and read their burn out process and follow it. Also some info on the Chalk marks here ...

Those look sick on there! Those are 15x10s right? What backspacing and what year is your SRA from? I have a 94-98 rear end and I'm trying to figure out what backspacing will make 15x10s sit like yours.

Put it on the rev limiter and let her fly. If it hooks up, raise the rev limiter!

Anyway I have 26x10.50x16 ET streets and with a decent 2nd gear burnout on my uncles '03 Cobra on stock IRS I was able to launch at 6200rpm with 14lbs in the tires and it dead hooked, so don't waste your time with low rpm launches.

I'd say start at 15psi if your leaving at 4-5k and work pressure from there. I'm running them at 13psi on a 10" rim.

    Those are 15x8 4.5" BS.
And his dad has never been down the track on drag tires, lets start him off a bit less than the limiter. Second pass, well that's another story ;)

Nate - If that is the fit you are looking for, PM Shaun (libstang?). I am almost certain he has a set of draglites in that size that he is looking to change out (he needs 5.5 BS).

You should see 11:70's or 80's with those tires. We'll have to run our cars at the FLD's on Sat. at the Beave. Our hp #'s are identical without me running the N20.

    CST 03,

If you don't put the drag radials on, it's a waste of time at beaver run. There is no traction to be had! Last time I ran the car there I was spinning through the finish line and getting beat by Geo Metros and Cavaliers that could hook up!

The tires I run as street tires are pretty grippy. They are Nitto NT-05's and they are for road racing and some, drag racing. The reason I may run them is to do some autocross also.

I was going to cheat and use my chick stick fireturd!

You might get me, I'm kind of traction-challenged on the street now with the new converter.
