Talking billyNOTnice rocked GODSPEED dyno September 8th 2010

hey guys I just wanted to share some of my good news with everyone. I took the car to GODSPEED Dyno in Spring Mills, PA located just outside State College. Bart Grande is the owner, and I must say he made our trip really enjoyable... He's a totally down to earth and friendly guy. He was very informative and you can't even beat the his prices. After arriving I found out that his dyno shop is actually his second job which he does because he enjoys doing it, which in turn allows him to charge decent prices and not have to rape his customers like some shops to stay in business. Anyhow onto the dyno. I rolled in off the street straight onto the dyno, we strapped the car down, did the usual setup and we were ready to go. First pass with no adjustments off the street (13psi, 17*) The car put down 585hp. I made some adjustments in the PMS, added some fuel tried to add some boost, but needed to adjust some timing. I adjusted again,(15psi, 18*) and the car put down 624.3HP and 622.3TQ! I was completely impressed with myself. It's so nice to see a car that you put your heart and soul into finally pay you back for all the times it let you beaten and bleeding. The car still has stock fuel lines and rails on it with a 255 in tank and in line. My fuel pressure was still holding, but it's got to be ready to give up at this point. The way the car sits is exactly how i wanted my tune to look, so it was nice that i didn't have to compromise what i felt comfortable with in order to get a bigger number. I unstrapped the car and called it a day. Here are the pics of the graph and the data he printed out for me.

That's pretty darn good. How does it drive now? What did you ever figure with the issue you were having?

Congrats on the numbers!!! That is awesome!

Troy and I met him years ago in SC at the last cruise. He seemed like a very cool guy from what I remember and he likes to tinker and build things. He was on monster garage or something like that too if memory serves me right.

Thanks guys, yeah Bart seemed like a real cool guy, which made it a really nice atmosphere while we were up there... really easy to talk to and explain things you don't quite understand.

Wick: No, I still can't figure out why my car will not run properly with o2 sensors. I've tried so many times to figure it out with no success. Currently I have the o2's unhooked and unless someone has ideas, i'm not hooking them back up. The car runs great across the board, i'm just anal about seeing the perfect airfuel ratio ALL the time. sometimes down below 2 grand with the pms it's a little leaner than i prefer at pt. throttle, but for the most part it's great.

That's crazy horsepower for the combo and the amount of money invested. I'm sure there's alot more in it as well. What's the cubic inch? Is it a stick? I'm curious to see if you can get the power to hook at the track.

it's a 327, and yes Astro T-5. Don't be fooled when you think i have very little invested... It's not the motor that's the expensive part, it's the rest of the parts you need to run the motor, support the motor's power.

Lou, I have video, but they are pretty lame. There wasn't a lot of space in there to get a good angle, and my camera guy didn't catch as much of the pulls as i wished he had.

yes I did both actually, but not at the same time. I ran a blower on 2 previous cars, and I did have an AEM EMS with Lq9 coil packs, but i have since switched back to the PMS for more simplicity.

That all depends on who you ask.. I have no fear of running this block above and beyond 650.

Very nice, glad things have worked out!
What turbo and kit is that?
How's it on the street at that power? gears and tires? I doubt those 24s hook up well ;)

It's an hp performance turbo setup. I swapped to a master power t76. The car runs like a stocker on the street. The turbos only there if you feel like it. The car blows the tires off in 4th gear on command with these 18s and toyo proxies. I run 3.55 gears.
