    Blew a lower intake gasket

It's been leaking a little for a few weeks. Front right hand corner. The last few days it's gotten worse so I figured it was time to fix it.

The antifreeze you see in the pic is where it was collecting. Just a tiny bit ay first, but lately that whole little valley there has been filling up with antifreeze after a short ride.

Tore everything down today and cleaned up the mating surfaces. (pic is before I finished, that's why you still see gasket material.)

I wanted to finish it up tomorrow, but I ordered some SS ARP lower intake bolts from Summit, so I'll finish it up some time this week.

i got the same problem there but the little valley there fills up with oil mostly i think it's coming from the timing chain cover i'm also getting a little coolant there but not like that i'd worry more about it but my engine has an overhaul in it's future.

Still haven't put it back together yet. Got some ARP stainless steel lower intake bolts and new TB gaskets, vacuum hoses, etc.

Didn't want to feel rushed so I'm waiting until Saturday to do it. I don't have anything else I have to do, so I can take my time.

For you guys who do this all the time, I have a question. I have black, blue, and ultra blue RTV. Which one should I use around the water ports on the lower intake gaskets ?

Ha, thanks for the reply. It's been back together since October though.
If I remember correctly, I used ultrablue and haven't had any leaks.
