There are more people than ever who are waking up. It's not a pleasant thing to know that your government has turned tyrannical. It gives me no pleasure to say that, but it's the truth.
The govt. is supposed to represent the people; when was the last time you remember our govt. taking the will of the people into account when making an important decision?
Bank bailouts ? People took to the streets to stop them, but they did it anyway. And they refuse to tell us where all the money went. LOL.
Health care ? A majority of people said no. Govt. said yes.
Illegal immigration ? The people in the border states who are affected most have pleaded for the govt. to close the porous borders and expel any illegals found in the country. Our govt. refuses to enforce our borders and designates Safe Harbor Cities for the illegals where they can do whatever they want without fear of being deported.
Did you read the article recently about our govt. and the life insurance companies who cover our veterans ? They wrote a loophole into the policies that allows the insurance company to keep some or all of the families' death benefit when the veteran passes away. What kind of sick people think this stuff up ? Oh yeah, our govt. and big business working hand in hand for the good of the American people...LOL.
Then there's the little matter of Iraq. A total lie from the beginning that's cost the lives of tens of thousands of servicemen and women and hundreds of thousands (some estimate 1 million +) of Iraqi civilians. What kind of govt. is willing to sacrifice all those lives on something they knew was a lie ?
This is still the greatest country on earth, no thanks to our govt., actually, in spite of our govt..
But I have to wonder if it'll ever all come to a head ?
I'll end with this little tidbit as an example. GMO foods..heard of them ? They're genetically modified. Most people won't buy them. Govt. says companies no longer have to state a food is GMO on the packaging, ( no doubt a result of lobbying by the huge agri businesses).
Smaller businesses want to label they're products as Non GMO. Govt. says no, they aren't allowed .
A govt. that serves the people doesn't operate this way. A govt. that serves the people would let its people have all the information they wanted about the food they eat and let them make their own informed decision.
Just a small example of a much larger pattern of behavior.
It's not government tyranny per say.
The government does as it's told, just not by us.
