    Well... I bought a GM

I honestly never thought this day would happen but... I bought something other than a Ford. I got a new job at work and I needed a company car. They give me a monthly allowance, so it's my vehicle, but I still have to be within their guidelines. I was looking primarily at 09 models. I had it narrowed down to 09 G8 GT, 10 SHO, or 09 SRT8 GC. The cheapest Grand Cherokee I could find was like $10k more than this car. Ruled out the SHO because I liked the looks of the G8 better and thought rwd would be more fun.

It's all stock with one little exception, it's got a maggie SC sitting on top . Supposed to be 440rwhp and 430rwtq. I'll hopefully see what it'll do at PRP soon. Gonna make for a fun daily and one hell of a company car

Congrats Ray, those are nice cars. Wife and i looked at one when we bought her Audi, and we bought the Audi because of the AWD.

I'll bet its a mid to low 12 second car.

Is it a stick or auto?

I'd love to open up the exhaust a little, but I need to keep it pretty quiet since I'll be taking customers around in it. I'll probably just do some sort of axle back to give it just a little more sound.

Haha, it's not some baller company or anything, I'm just exploiting the system a little bit. Most of the guys get something a little more economical like a base taurus or something. I'll probably have to kick in a little of my own cash, but it's worth it since I'll be logging a ton of miles in it, might as well have something nice. There are a lot of stipulations on what you can and can't get, but thankfully the G8 fits the requirements. This one just happens to have a supercharger

The company name is Chromalox and they sell all sorts of industrial electric heaters so if anyone needs something or works for a company that uses any sort of electric heaters let me know

Yeah, I'm hoping for low 12's.

It's a 6 spd auto. Only the GXP's got manuals. The cheapest one I could find was about $7500 more than this car and they were very few and far between(only 7 in the whole country on autotrader when I looked)

Yeah I have driven and even raced a G8 GT and they are definitely nice cars. IMO the interiors are top notch for a GM. Good transmissions too.

EDIT: Yeah the white one above me is pretty quick I see him run at PRP a lot. I'm sure a stall would really wake these cars up. The one I drove and I believe that white one as well have stock stalls.

Yeah, I'm really happy they changed their policy before I got this job. They used to just give you a car. Now they give you a monthly allowance instead. Opens up a few more options :)

Cool pic. Some people thought that was the car I was getting when I told them about it. That one's a GXP. Would have been nice to have one of those, but they were a lot more than the regular GT's

Eh, I considered a Charger, but they just really don't compare to the G8's IMO. The Charger would have to come a long way to compete with the G8's [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eInLIqFwSjU"]YouTube - 2008 Dodge Charger R/T vs. 2008 Pontiac G8 GT[/ame]

I agree I believe even with the new 2011 Charger that the G8 will be the better car. The Chargers don't do it for me, and they don't have LSx engines. And unless they do something with the interior, the G8 will blow it out of the water.

Badass car man, on my short list for my next family sedan (I still want a tuned SHO though).
Did that car come from MI? Lidio and his crew did a SC white auto G8 GT while I was up there a while back.
