98 contour svt green with tan leather 128,000 miles all power sun roof cd player white face gauges. car runs and drives great has a new alternator and battery as well as a clutch (replaced professionally a few hundred miles ago) i could find the paperwork if it will make or break the deal .very clean inside and under the hood. the front bumper got taken off by a concrete parking lot strip so it will need replaced as well as the fog lights . the fenders are fine but cosmetically could be replaced because where they meet up with the bumper they are not 100 % from the bumper coming off. and the carpet is missing in the trunk . im looking for 2500 o.b.o. may be interested in trades text me any time 412 277 7647 for questions or pictures thanks

I contacted the seller about this car, a couple days later he calls me and tells me some stuff about the car, it was advertised for 1000. he tells me on the phone he bought a front bumper and put a fuel pump in the car and is now running so he wants 1500 for it. I so make arrangements to go see it....I went to monroeville about an hour and a few minutes away. I get down there and the floor board under the seat are cut up a bit to get the sending unit out and the sending unit is laying in the gas tank with the lines off and unplugged. OK a bit of a surprise, a woman (not the seller) comes down to show me the car and she says its ok to plug the pump in and start it, i did everything seems decent....otherwise what i expected. said the oil pan gasket leaked a small amount, not a problem i tell him.

so i call the seller try to haggle a little bit and he says 1500 is the bottom line, he tells me to let him know if i want it so he can list it as sold. I told him it was right at the edge of what i thought it was worth and id get back to him. After about 15 mintures i told him id buy it, hes agrees. So i let him know i want to get the title transfer and get the car asap and he says he'll drive it up to me. next day says hes got to work and got called in, so we cant transfer that day.....no big deal. so in the meantime i find a parts car same color to replace the hood and fender that was dented up, told the guy ill pick it up this week.

the seller gets back to me tells me he had the oil pan gasket replaced and he was getting it inspected......ok??? (not sure if had a current sticker) i said id take as it sat the day i looked at it but whatever. following day he texts me and says hey i need more money for the car since i had this stuff done. now after the deal has been made he tells me he wants more money for stuff i didnt want in the first place.

now i had to back out of the other car after i spoke for and made the trip to monroeville for nothing..............not totally pissed off but it sucks i wasted my time

so just so you know either the seller doesnt really want to sell this car or he wants to sucker someone into giving him more money for the car than he is advertising

I also went and looked at the car and IMO it needs alot of work. Seems like i was getting someone elses project that never got started. Also seemed like every week it was something diffrent. 1 week it needs a fuel pump and its 1000 take it as is,,,,,the next week the pumps fixed and its back to 1500..... Once again not downing the car but it def needs some attention

and i agreed to 1500 and that was all it was worth to me.....after the price is settled theres no changing it, i had cash and was ready to buy
