Who knows about Quad tires?

I got a hole in the sidewall on one of my front stock Dunlops last weekend. I promptly ordered two new Maxxis Razr2s (6-ply). However, I took the busted tire to a tire shop and they put a plug in the sidewall. Said they do it all the time, only has 5psi, don't worry about it, blah blah blah.

I don't trust this for chit. It's holding air riding around the yard, but I don't really want to push it. The stockers are fairly new so I would like to get some time out of them. They're Dunlop kt345/kt341s and I think they're 2-ply.

So, do most peeps that ride hardcore rocky trails just ditch the stockers for HD aftermarket tires ASAP or what?

plug em and go.....I once had 6 plugs in the same hole in a sidewall...still held up

I rode around with one in the sidewall of my Banshee for 2 years. Depends on how bad the hold was and if the repair shop fixed it right. Only way to tell is to run it for a bit.

Dont worry about it just run it and hold it wide open!! Dont worry them stock tires dont last long if u ride alot lol

You can look at a stock duncrap and blow a hole in em!!! I usually take em off and throw on eBay before they get killed or list on various forums. Replace with holeshot HD's.

But, yes, I have also ran with multiple plugs in the sidewalls for long hard rides.

i think i have had as many as six in one hole before, railroad spike!!!!! run it tires are not cheap.
