So I'm looking at a 95 GT but it's got the cats removed. I live in Butler County and can't find anyone that will inspect it. Any help would be appreciated.![]()

Butler? What are you worried about? Buy fake cats.
Can you do a 5000 mile emissions exempt on a 95?
If so it would have to have under 5000 miles since the last inspection.
Its got a current inspection till 6/11. Do I need another inspection just for this?
I doubt I'd put more that 5k on it.

There's only a visual emissions inspection in Butler so I think that means that if you don't have all the SMOG stuff that it was originally equipped with, then they can't do the safety inspection either?
Mike, where do you suggest (PM me). I've called 10 places and nobody would touch it.
I maybe putting a classic PA plate on it. So the FAQ from PENDOT says those cars are exempt from emmissions.
"INSPECTION
Classic vehicles are subject to an annual vehicle safety inspection. Antique vehicles operated exclusively
between sunrise and sunset are exempt from the normal lighting requirements of the Pennsylvania Vehicle
Code, but must have their original lighting equipment. Antique vehicles are not subject to the annual vehicle
safety inspection. Antique and classic vehicles are not subject to emissions inspection."

You think they would skip the fact it doesn't have cats?
PM'd.
Butler has no emissions so it shouldn't matter about the 5k mile thing, as I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) but the whole visual thing has to do with inspection and not emissions, so the cats will still have to be there to pass the inspection.
Hmm cats? Nope not sure what those are
