    Some updates pics

    I cleaned the car today and took some updated pics of the things i have added/deleted. Wonder why there is so much more room in my engine compartment this year? Cant wait to see how this pays off this year.

    Joe, Im not really sure. I had two problems last year. Valve float and overheating. I think i solved them both with new valve springs and the new rad and water pump. From my 1/8 time it seemed like i was leaving some on the table on top end. 1/8 mile last year was 7.2. Dave at SGS said i should have has some more mph on top end. I still have to get a retune so well see what kind of numbers it puts down and go from there.

    What do you think it should be capable of since you know my combo fairly well?

    Why is there 2 belts going in on the driver side door??
    I only have one, but im using RJS belts???
    BTW, does anybody know how to tighten the tops even more, it seems like I got them as tight as they'll go and there still a good bit too loose, I need another 3-5 inches of adjustment, but im not sure how to do it.....

    Its only 1 belt. looks like two casue i had to take so much out of it to make it fit. Just your run of the mill G-force 5 point harness. Mine are fairly easy to adjust as well.

    Im getting used to the steering. Your right its not so bad. But after driving that all day then getting in the cobalt its like woah.

    Damn, you did so much! Some power was gained through elimination of parasitic loss, you alleviated the valve-train issues that *should* give you more on the big end. But remember the bulk of the acceleration occurs from 0-330 ft. or so. You lost some weight but then added some weight with the roll bar. The bar, however, stiffened the chassis which *should* help put to the power to the ground in a more efficient manner. You also distributed some weight to a more advantageous area in the car. Which *should* aid in the 60' department.

    Damn Rio, I'm saying with the retune you should be knockin' on the high 6's to low low 7's in the eighth. Which should equate to a 11.0-10.9 if all the moons and planets are lined up!

    Sounds good to me. I know your pretty knowledgeable in the weight department. See how the dyno turns out to see where i gained some power.
