Holloween just isnt the same anymore

We had about 12 kids come to the door in a 2 hour period. You know the saying, "back when I was a kid", but we used to run from house to house for hours. Then go home unload the first bag, and head back out for round two. Just doesn't seem to be the same anymore, at least by my house.

    I hear ya. It's a shame.

We still have a lot of kids around here that go, but it is just different nowadays with things like the mall having "safe" trick or treating. Parents just dont want their kids out on the streets I guess.

We ran out of goodies at my house at around 7pm. We had at least 300 kids. At one point there were 30 kids in front of our house.

I didnt have a single kid come to my house over here in Glassport..."I remember when I was a kid..."..lol, we used to do the same as stated above, go out at least 3 times in a bunch of different neighborhoods and come home with pounds upon pounds of candy..

Same here, 5 kids total (3 in one group, 2 in another). When we moved here we used to have to sit out on the porch and hand out candy as everytime you went in the house there was a pack more came ... heck we used to have a line :D It's a shame some simpler times are gone :(

My 10 year old daughter likes to walk and chat with her friends the whole time, but my 4 year old daughter was focused big-time, as she did a good bit of jogging from house to house, even though she was pretty chilly in her little lion costume.

Pretty soon, we won't be able to hand out candy, for fear of the crazies. Like everything else in the world, all the good things will come to a screaching halt!

Our hood was cool. We had a fire going. Parents hung out near the fire while the kids ran to the houses around us.

Someone up the street was passing out hot chocolate to the parents, and I heard someone else was offereing "adult" drinks to the parents.

Most of the kids came up, grabbed the candy, and walked away. No Trick or Treat, no nothing.
